Westeros mod for Crusader Kings
September 25, 2011
I’m currently quite addicted to the Song of Ice and Fire series, I’m dreading finishing book 5, which will happen soon, as I won’t know quite how to entertain myself any more! But, one thing I could try perhaps, is this Westeros mod for Crusader Kings. Only problem? Crusader Kings doesn’t really work in Windows 7. So sad. But, I suppose I can live vicariously through AARs until the inevitable Crusader Kings 2 Westeros mod!

Crusader Kings
Yet another reason to hate Windows 7. I’m still running XP and have never been given a compelling reason to “upgrade” by anybody. In my experience using it (on my kids machine) it just seems to be added shiny, changes for the sake of it, and a way to push hardware as it ups the system requirements on every game.
Crusader Kings now gets added to the list of games I will lose if I ever upgrade and is one more reason not too.
Guessing it won’t even work in compatibility mode or anything?
Not heard, just the person who told me about the mod told me CK was crash-prone in w7. Also, I have read the mo author does not want to do a mod for CK2 as “books 4 and 5 suck” and add too many elements that would be hard to handle. That being said, I am sure someone will pick up the reigns.
Err? I’ve got Win7/64 bit, playing CK1 with Westeros, I’ve not had one single crash yet. It works perfectly fine in Win7, so chances are its not the OS at fault…
Oh, that’s great news!
