Baby production complete!

October 19, 2009 3 comments

If anyone has been wondering why there haven’t been many updates recently it is because my wife gave birth to our first baby three weeks ago and we’ve been pretty busy for the past couple of months! Baby Teeny Tiny Pirate is doing just fine, although he prefers to swashbuckle than sleep right now. I’ll endeavor to complete the Sims story in the next couple of weeks and I’ll look at expanding the Dwarf Fortress tutorial as well. Oh, while I’m here, fans of Dwarf Fortress should keep an eye on a great wee Dwarf Fortress blog, it has all the up-to-date news you could want and Josh even takes the time to write up notes on long DF podcasts.

I’m also going to start some new AARs in due course. I was planning on a Hearts of Iron 3 diary, but since I hear the game is a bit rubbish I’m going to have to come up with an interesting new plan! We’ll see!

How-To AAR (Successfully!)

February 5, 2009 Comments off

So lets get cracking.

February 4, 2009 Comments off

Hey everyone! I’m the other main contributor here at After Action Reporter.  Though both of us will be writing updates, my first is going to be the introduction to a classic game, one that not many have played, regardless of the brand it sits in.
I’m talking about Shogun Total War.

Welcome to After Action Reporter!

February 1, 2009 3 comments

Here at After Action Reporter we aim to bring you links to great after action reports (AARs). Nothing teaches you more about a complex game than seeing others play it through the web, YouTube and forums. We aim to cover old games, for those walks down memory lane, and new games, so you can find out if the new mega-sim is really something you would enjoy.

Mostly we will be linking to other people’s sites and forums, but now and then, when the mood strikes, we will write our own AARs here.

We hope you have fun, and remember, why play when you can read?!
