Battles from the Bulge will feature a demo!

June 4, 2009 Comments off

bftb_aarI’ve been a bit of  fan of Conquest of the Aegean and I’m looking forward to Battles from the Bulge, the sequel to COTA by Panther Games. One issue people had with COTA was that it was a full-priced game and relatively unusual; plenty of gamers were reluctant to drop the cash to try it out. But never fear! Arjuna, a Panther Games developer, has informed fans that there will be a demo for Battles from the Bulge! At last, the curious will get a chance to try Panther Games’ unique take on strategy and the fans will be able to endlessly bug their friends to give the game a go.

Combat Mission AAR’s

March 4, 2009 Comments off

We’ve had a few articles here on After Action Reporter about Combat Mission, but we’ve yet to have a link to any specific example of one of the AAR’s based out of this game.

Time to rectify that.

June of last year brought about GameZone’s Combat Mission AAR competition, where users could submit video’s of their missions, and then be judged later on.  These video’s were archived on a youtube page.   You can find the link below. YouTube Page

Combat Mission Campaigns cancelled

February 27, 2009 1 comment

combatmissioncampaigns According to a thread over on battlefront.com Combat Mission Campaigns has been canceled. The reason provided is that it was too hard for the small team to develop and it was costing too much compared to the likely return. Sad news really, CMC promised to be an interesting game and an interesting way to play Combat Mission.

Battles from the Bulge AAR: The Losheim Gap

February 22, 2009 Comments off

bftb_aarWe’ve previously listed Battles from the Bulge as one of the games we’re looking forward to. With that in mind I think it’s appropriate to link through to a completed AAR on the BFTB forum. It should give you a pretty good idea of the sort of game BFTB is and how it differs from Conquest of the Aegean. Enjoy!
